Migrating your tribe account from Evolve Bank & Trust to Fifth Third Bank

Frequently asked questions about the migration

Important changes are coming regarding your Tribevest business account which is provided through our partnership with Stripe. 

Starting January 15, administrators within your tribe will have the opportunity to initiate a migration of the funds held in your financial account from Evolve Bank & Trust to Fifth Third Bank. We are excited, given this migration, to offer financial services through Fifth Third Bank, a Top 25 bank in the United States. 

What do I need to do to migrate? 

Login to Tribevest and give authorization. Starting January 15, the Tribe administrator will need to log in to their Tribe’s dashboard(s) and authorize Tribevest to open your new account and move funds.

How long will it take to open the new account and transfer funds? 

This transfer is expected to take on the order of minutes before both an Evolve account and a Fifth Third account shows up, with funds transferred over to the Fifth Third account. You'll see the Fifth Third account show up under the "Business Account" tab next to your Evolve Bank & Trust account.

Will I need to order new debit cards? 

As part of this process, debit cards will be associated with the new account, with no requirement for updates on your end (debit card information is unchanged). 

What happens if I don't migrate?  

If you would like to continue to transact past March 31, 2025 you must migrate to Fifth Third Bank. All Evolve Bank & Trust accounts will close on March 31, 2025. If you want to opt out of this migration, you can shut down your account with Tribevest by reaching out to support@tribevest.com.

How do I find my new routing and account numbers? 

Go to "Business Account" tab in your Tribe dashboard. Click on "View Details" of the new Fifth Third Bank account. Go to "Wire and Account Information" At your earliest convenience update your information with any service providers who automatically process payments linked to your account.

Will this migration affect my business transactions? 

No. You'll be able to transact from both your Evolve Bank & Trust account and Fifth Third Bank account until March 31, 2025. You'll want to make sure you've updated your routing and account information with any service providers who automatically process payments linked to your account before March 31 to ensure business as usual. Your Evolve Bank & Trust account will close on March 31 and will no longer work for transactions.
