# How to make a soft commitment
## This article outlines the steps for investors to soft commit to an investment offering they've been invited to.
### **How to make a Soft Commitment**
A soft commitment serves as an interest indicator for an investment offering. It is not binding in anyway and you can decide to opt out at any time.

- Navigate to the offerings section in the system.
- Locate the specific offering you wish to soft commit to (e.g., 'Preserve at Copper Springs').

- Click on the offering to view:
- Deal description, key terms, any associated documents
- Financial information
- Location details (if applicable)
- Video overview

- Click the 'Soft Commit' button located in the upper right corner of the offering page.

- Fill in the required fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address (auto-filled)
- Phone Number (for contact purposes)

- Enter the amount you wish to soft commit.
- Ensure the amount meets the minimum requirement indicated below the field.

- Indicate whether you are an accredited investor or not.

- Click 'Continue' to save your information in the system.
- Wait for confirmation that your soft commit was successful.

- After saving, review the details of your soft commitment, by clicking "Review Soft Commit" in the upper righthand corner.
- Ensure all entered information is correct.

- Exit the offering page to see your soft commit amount displayed.
- Await an email notification from the fund manager when the investment offering is open for actual investment.
