There are typically 3 primary ways that spouses can be represented within a Tribe. Ultimately, how you and your partner choose to join a Tribe comes down to you and your Tribe.
- Both be represented under one account.
- You can register and join the Tribe under one person's account. You will need to share login information if you plan to join via this route. This is typical if you only wanted to be represented once on the Cap Table.
- Both register and join the Tribe.
- You can both register and join the Tribe under individual profiles. This will ensure you both have independent logins and independent accounts within the Tribe. Both of you will be represented in the Cap Table and in the Operating Agreement.
- Be represented by an LLC that you both own. (Recommended)
- You can join the Tribe as a business profile which ensures you are represented within the Tribe as a personal LLC. You would still share a login, but this option would ensure you are represented on the Cap Table and the Operating Agreement as your shared LLC rather than an individual's name.
